The Trading module
As soon as a server has an economy, members trade things — and get scammed. The Trading module replaces “send first, I’ll send back after” with a transaction both parties confirm, and that nobody can change afterwards.

The problem it solves
A hand-made trade rests entirely on trust: someone has to give first. Past a few dozen members, that inevitably produces disputes the team cannot settle, for lack of evidence.
A framed trade removes the problem at the root: nothing changes hands until both have confirmed, and the contents are frozen at the moment of confirmation.
How a trade runs
- Offer: a member opens a trade, publicly or naming a partner.
- Composition: each side places what they are putting in — inventory items, server currency, or both.
- Negotiation: while nobody has confirmed, either side can change the contents.
- Double confirmation: the trade executes only when BOTH have confirmed. Any change after a confirmation cancels it and resets the count — otherwise you could pull your offer just before the close.
That reset is the essential piece. It makes the last-moment scam impossible, and it is exactly what an improvised trade cannot guarantee.
What the team sees
Every completed trade leaves a record: who, what, when. That is not surveillance, it is what lets you answer “he scammed me” with a fact rather than a guess.
It also reveals patterns: an account that accumulates and never gives back, or a run of one-way trades between two accounts — the classic signature of alt accounts.
What to set before opening it
- The channel listing public trades. The bot can create it itself if you do not name one.
- The number of simultaneous public trades per member — three by default. That cap stops one person filling the channel alone.
- A private channel per engagement: once two members commit, negotiation moves to a dedicated channel instead of the public one.
Key points
- Nothing changes hands until both parties confirm.
- Any change after a confirmation resets the count: the last-moment scam is impossible.
- Every trade leaves a record, so a dispute is settled on evidence.
- A run of one-way trades between two accounts is the signature of alt accounts.
Frequently asked questions
Can a member cancel a trade in progress?
Yes, while the trade is not closed. Once both confirmations are in, the transaction executes and does not unwind — that is what gives it value.
Can currency and items go in the same trade?
Yes, both kinds combine freely on each side.
Is the module included in the free plan?
The Trading module is a premium feature in its own right. The Plans and pricing page states which plans include it.
